GST in Singapore has increased to 9% from 1st January 2024. Participating retail outlets in Changi Airport will continue to absorb GST for retail spends in public areas of Terminals 1 to 4 for eligible Changi Rewards members.
How It Works
Sample receipt:
For GST-registered retail outlets, the display price includes GST. Therefore, in this sample transaction, GST would already be included in the price of the item (SGD100).
Highlighted green label is the discount equivalent to a 9% GST amount based on GST-inclusive pricing (9/109 x SGD100 = SGD8.26).
The final price of the item is SGD100 - SGD8.26 = SGD91.74.
